There are two decisions that I'm currently mulling over that need action soon:
- To drop or not to drop: I'm fairly certain the answer is to drop one of my classes. I'm probably going to do that today. Two classes right now is just too much. It's stressing me out and this going back to school thing is something I'm doing to better myself, not to stress myself out. [updated to add: I made the decision to drop one and executed that decision. Feel less stressed already!]
- To race or not to race: This coming weekend is the Sweetheart run. A few months ago, I was planning on doing it no matter what. Now I'm not so sure. However, I'm leaning toward doing it, not so much as a race, but as a run and symbol to myself that I'm back in the game.
Thinking of you. I know this is a tough time.
ReplyDeleteThanks. That means a lot. :-D
DeleteGlad you're back! Bandit is so funny checking out the snow. Good thing you got out of Ohio before they got more!
ReplyDeleteAll in all, we were lucky on our travel. Outgoing flight got cancelled, but while we were still at home (not stuck in airport). Return trip happened before more snow.
DeleteDefinitely drop the class if it's causing you to stress. It can always be done some other time. And as for the race, if you feel up to it and if it'll make you feel good, do it.
ReplyDeletedecision on the class has been made - dropped it! still mulling things over on the race.
DeleteI'm glad you dropped the class, there is already so much going on, the least you need right now is to stress over a class.
ReplyDeleteExactly!
DeleteGlad you made it home safely, with all the crazy weather in the US.
ReplyDeleteSometimes it really is better to let go of wanting to do too much! I hope that if you do the race you most of all enjoy it. Take care!
I guess that's what I'm trying to decide...will I enjoy it or not
DeleteI saw your post on FB and know you made the right decision. Take care and hang in there. Thinking of you!
ReplyDeleteThanks
DeleteIf you race just have fun. If you can do it stress free go for it.
ReplyDeleteThat would be the goal!
DeleteGlad you got home safely. My husband is actually going to NM soon -- I'm a little jealous of him for getting out of this snow.
ReplyDeleteCool. Where in NM will he be headed?
DeleteI'm glad you're back home and hope things are settling into some sort of routine. I agree that dropping a class seems really indicated! And if you race, just treat it as a training run and enjoy whatever pace you go at :)
ReplyDeleteThx. I'm trying to decide if I want to pay for a "training" run or not.
