Set the alarm for stupid o'clock so I could get in a 6 miler before work.
Dutifully got up when the alarm went off and checked the weather. 44 deg.
Hmmmm. So let me get this straight. It's dark, *and* early, *and* cold?!?!
Why is it exactly that I wanted to do this run in the morning? Seems a whole lot more sensible to run after work when it's not dark, not early, and not cold.
Plan B it is.
Back to bed. Ahhhhhh.
plan b indeed. it's too early in fall for 44 degrees!
ReplyDeletelol, some you enjoyed the extra sleep :)
ReplyDeleteThe cold I wouldn't mind. Dark? Not so fun. Hope you enjoyed the extra snooze time.
ReplyDeleteWhere do you live that it's already 44 degrees in the morning? Haha, it's still 70 here.
ReplyDeleteI have had my alarm clock set for 6am for the last fortnight. I think i've only managed to get out of bed at that time twice. Every other monring i've made good use of the snooze function.
ReplyDeleteI'm SO with you on that! I can't stand running in the cold and dark!
ReplyDelete"stupid o'clock", love that. It's getting harder and harder as it is darker and darker and colder and colder in the AM, I concur. Plan B it is!
ReplyDeleteNote to those wondering about 44 deg this morning....I live in the high desert. It is not unusual for there to be a 30 deg difference between the low and high temp for the day. So while it was a BRISK 44 deg in the dark this morning, it will likely be mid 70s this afternoon and probably mid 60s when I get around to running in the early evening.
ReplyDeleteHope you enjoyed the extra sleep time
ReplyDeleteYeah! Bump all that early cold shiznit. LOL!
ReplyDelete(Thanks for the suppport on my marathon deferrment. Not an easy decision. But you totally get it.)
I like "stupid o'clock." Sounds so much later than "O dark hundred."
ReplyDeletehaha i like stupid o'clock too!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe its 44 there. We are having an Indian summer right now, it must be at least 80 outside!
Plan B sounds like a good plan!
ReplyDeleteI had that same sentiment this AM, once I walked outside and saw my readout displaying 65 degrees.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy that plan B later today!!
ugh 44 already?!? brrrr. no thanks. no need to start getting acclimated to cooler temps yet! i'd definitely take the warm bed too. hope you enjoyed the extra sleep :)
ReplyDeleteI have that exact same conversation every time I try to run in the morning. Excellent call.
ReplyDeleteahhh yes, that sounds like morning logic to me!
ReplyDeletei am so with you there my friend. good call.
ReplyDeleteAHHH i cannot wait!!!! bring on the cold now! :)
ReplyDeleteI couldn't do dark or early, but man, I could really use some of that cold. I'm so tired of *starting* my runs hot and sweaty.
ReplyDeleteMCM Mama
Ah, it's no thang girl. I hit the snooze button meself this morning when I heard the pitterpatter of rain :)
ReplyDeleteAlways go with sensible :-)
ReplyDeleteHow'd that plan B work for ya?
ReplyDeleteStill laughing over "stupid o'clock."
ReplyDeleteLOL...
Ouch, 44F would make me crawl into bed too!
