While I was rooting around my fabric stash, I found some upholstery fabric that I had purchased to re-cover a glider rocker. I ended up giving the glider rocker away to a family in need before I re-covered it. Well, the bar stools in the kitchen have been in sorry shape for some time, so I am using the fabric for that. The one on the left is the one I finished yesterday evening. The one on the right is still in the 'before' stage:
I also found some motivation to start cleaning up the garage. We had purchased some plastic containers to put on shelves and get things organized, but they were still stacked up on the floor taking up space. It had been bugging me, but not enough for me to find time to do anything about it until this weekend. Behold garage shelving with containers to organize stuff:
Where does that leave me with training? Um. Let's just say I needed a couple 'rest' days and leave it at that.

Great job on all 3 projects! I def need to learn how to sew better!
ReplyDeleteImpressive! I took some sewing classes a little while back. I really liked it, but in a NYC apt. I didn't have the space to keep the sewing machine around for the amount of sewing I wasn't doing. I need a new hobby, maybe knitting.
ReplyDeletethose blankets are great! Go you!
But doesn't it feel so good getting things done around the house?
ReplyDeleteThe blankets and stools look great. I should learn to sew!

ReplyDeleteHi Suzi Homemaker!
ReplyDeleteMy husband bought those same storage shelves, and I bought the plastic cubbies, but we're not even THAT close to having the two components meet... Heck, I even bought a label maker! Still, nothing is organized or even sorted. Thanks for this post. It's kind of like a kick start to get organized.
