They say that the journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.
I'm going to start looking forward just a few steps at a time in the short term to make sure I'm headed in the right direction. Then I'll start looking a little farther forward.
Plan for the weekdays this week: Running Mon/Wed/Fri - on treadmill if not outside - no excuses! Strength at the gym Tue/Thu.
I'll worry about the weekend when it gets closer.
Todays' run is in the books.
Note to self: See, that wasn't so bad, now was it?!?!
Sounds like a great plan to me, Lisa. Baby steps, baby steps, bay steps ;-)
ReplyDeleteBetter to be making steps forward rather than sitting on the couch. Although, the couch is rather comfortable after a few steps are taken in the form of exercise. The guilt is a little less as well.
ReplyDeleteEven small steps are steps. Keep up the good work.
ReplyDeleteyeah marcy is right...
ReplyDeletelike in that "what about bob" movie....bill murray..
"baby stepts to the bus..baby steps to my seat....." etc.
we always want the big picture to be crystal clear for us..if we can just take care of today..the big picture comes into focus much better..
good luck
Yay! The first step is always the hardest. Now, you have momentum :-)
ReplyDeleteExcellent work setting it in motion. Keep the big picture of "why" in mind.... :D
ReplyDeleteYOU ROCK!!
Sounds like a good plan.
ReplyDeleteSmall steps can lead to great distances! Keep it up.
ReplyDeleteGetting out the door is the hardest part.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great plan!
Good plan!
ReplyDeleteyou're on the upswing....starting out again can only be done one day at a time and one step at a time. Nice plan.
ReplyDeletePigeon steps are much better then no steps at all... Good plan!
ReplyDeleteBaby steps are so much easier then making big plans and getting side tracked!
ReplyDeleteSee, I told you, once you get started, even if its not so pleasant the first few times, each time brings you closer to it getting better and then good. Baby steps! We all need them at times.
ReplyDeleteSometimes it's the right time to make huge long-term plans. Sometimes it's not. I'm you're doing what you need to do :)
ReplyDeleteA step is better than no steps at all.. Baby steps then you look back at the end of the week and see how far you have gone, then repeat if necessary.
