The Numbers
* Swam 5000 yards, Cycled 25 miles, Ran 83.8 miles
* Did Core work 11 times and Upper Body Strength work 5 times
* Completed two races: one sprint tri, one 10K
* Cancelled registration for one race: oly tri
Thoughts
* Really enjoyed this month. Had a lot of fun.
* Pleased with progress in core strength and running. Also had a good (panic-free) OWS.
* Unhappy about recent knee pain, but I am hopeful that I can work through that soon.
September Plans
* Training remains focussed on Duke City half-marathon in October.
* Looking forward to the Chips-n-Salsa half-marathon next Sunday and Patriot Sprint Tri the weekend following. Guess I should get on my bike again before the tri. ;)
* Hoping for another opportunity to work on OWS.
Great post and fantastic stats. You have really shown strong improvement. Bravo to you. Hope the knee gets better soon.
ReplyDeleteThe numbers are looking good, especially the running (and of course the only ones I know about :P HAHA). Whoot!

ReplyDeleteNice job! You've got such a great attitude, plunging right ahead with your goals for the 1/2 marathon and your tris. Still thinking healing thoughts for you on the knees.... I know you'll come out strong.
ReplyDeleteAugust sounds like your best month this year (minus the knee pain - but I'm betting that will get better soon).

ReplyDeleteYou are progressing so well on your 1/2 marathon goals! I can't wait to read about your race next weekend! What a great name "Chips & Salsa"!
I hope your knee pain is temporary. If you think it is IT band I have some things that I did that really helped me keep any problems at bay.
I got knocked out of Nike last year(had to walk/run) because of IT band stuff, but I have trained for and completed two marathons since.
Goodie, goodie. Race reports to come!
*rubs hands together in glee*
Keep up the great work!
