Eye infection is under control. Made it to the gym and did 3.0 miles. Yay! That brings me to 27.6 miles for the month. Not what I wanted, but okay given losing 10+days to illness. Plus, I still have two days before month's end and intend to take advantage of them.
This afternoon, I roughed out a schedule to get me to the half mary start line on April 19th. I need to run at least 6 miles this weekend. Seems a little daunting, but I am **so** ready to make it happen.
Switching subjects. I used to have a great lightweight Tilley hat that is perfect for walking outside, yardwork, going to the beach/pool etc. I gave it to my mother-in-law the last time she was visiting. The sun here is intense and she needed it more than I did. I miss my old hat and since we have since we have travel to Hawaii in 3 weeks, I ordered myself a new one.
It's basically the same model that I used to have, but with upgrades including some reflective stuff on the strap (you might notice it from the camera flash), a built in sweat band, and a new color that I love.
You know what? I totally *heart* my Tilley hat. This hat rocks. It floats. There is a hidden pocket at the top that can store money, credit card, ID, hotel key, etc. You can stash your sunglasses on it by using the holes on the sides. It has UV50 protection. It fits like a glove.
This hat totally suits my personal style. Yeah, I know. I'm a dork. But at my age I am convinced more than ever that 'saving face' (ie, protecting it from sun damage) is very important and I don't know another hat that does it better than the Tilley.
Oh yeah, and if you can't tell. I'm feeling a lot better today. YAY!!!!!
That's one impressive hat, sounds like it has everything!
ReplyDeleteI like the hat and the smile underneath it as well. It's a good match.

Mine is the LT6B Breathable Nylon - color Taupe, just FYI. They have several styles, it could be overwhelming if you aren't familiar with their hats.
