Just signed up for an event in June
a metric Century (with Husband)
Looking at the calendar
It's only 3.5 short weeks away.
Sounds fun, but ummm.
My longest ride EVER was 48miles.
That was after riding several times a week month on month.
This season is different.
I really just started riding again a few weeks ago.
Oh yeah, and one more thing.
I'll be out of town Memorial Day week.
Makes me wonder; maybe YOU have some idea??
Just what exactly *WAS* I thinking when I hit that "Enter" key??
Okay I'll give it a shot.

I'm not entirely sure I can do this but I want to try because I really think I CAN do it even though it may (will) hurt and challenge me A LOT. Did I mention it will probably hurt. A LOT. I may cry (a lot).
But I'm going to feel like a million bucks at the end! Oh yeah I ROCK.

You were thinking "Holy Hannah, what have I done?" but you were thinking it just a tad too late? Or maybe you were thinking you needed an adrenalin rush to get you going? Or definitely you were thinking what Stef said! I'm thinking you'll have a blast! Three and a half weeks is loads of time. Yeah. How's your right leg doing?

That's how I feel about signing up to ride a 50k in 3 weeks. It might be my first time on a bike in a year!
ReplyDeleteI am wondering which ride? YOu will do fine. Just go slow like me!
ReplyDeleteI signed up for a 5K a week and a half after we get back from a 2 week trip...thinking that would force me to jump back into things...I am having "enter" key regrets at the moment too!
ReplyDeleteRegardless I know we will both have fun!
Take Care
You will do great! You will surprise yourself, I just know it. You already have a base from last year and your running base helps a lot too. Good luck! Sounds fun and a great way to get your bike training off to a good start.
ReplyDeleteYou were thinking DREAM BIG, BABY!(how hilly is this ride, btw?)
ReplyDeleteSuperwoman.
ReplyDeleteYou were thinking how cool it would be to be able to say you did that. You'll figure out how! Good luck. You can do it.
