Making Progress

Tuesday I rested in the morning, and did drills with the run group in the evening.

Wednesday I cycle commuted to work and spent a little time at the gym doing stretches and strength work. The commute was all kinds 'o sucky, so I resolved to do it again the next day.

Which I did. I also spent a decent amount of time doing upper body and core at the gym. And met with the run group this evening for a 30min easy trail run. Yeah, it was a busy day.

Tomorrow I have an appt at the gym with my Trainer, then head off for a chiro appt. If all goes well, I'll also get daughter signed up for the gym (that turned out to be a no-go a few months ago, but now that school is over it seems more feasible). Other than that, I'm resting.

I have a 40 mile ride on deck with Husband for Saturday in preparation for the half-century ride the following week. That is a key workout; don't want to miss it.

And then there's a little Splash & Dash event Sunday that I signed up for but haven't trained for at all. I actually haven't been in a pool since Splash-Dash-Push! Oops! I'm not concerned about it though; my goal is to have fun and get motivated to put swimming into the mix again.

Feels like things are coming together. I hope it's not an illusion!

  7. Hello...I was blog hoppin' and wanted to say that I feel like a tortoise, too, when trying to keep up with my hubby! It's not quite so bad when we ride our bikes, but we can't run together--he's more than 6 inches taller than me with long legs!

  8. I also need to work on getting swimming in. And I'm a big proponent of finding different cycling partners. There's some days you want to push yourself and ride with a stronger rider but not all the time (at least not me). Or just enjoy their draft more!
