3 Things Thursday

1) I haven't managed to get down to my goal weight, but I'm okay with that. My clothes are fitting differently and I just might need to go down a size in running shorts. Not taking action on that quite yet, the last thing I need is smaller running shorts that don't actually fit, but I'm keeping this in mind as a possibility.

2) The weather has been weird lately. Another storm has passed through threatening to dump snow and/or rain on us. We really haven't had much precipitation from it though. Or at least not yet. I hope it stays that way throughout the day so we have reasonable running weather this afternoon. Then it can rain or snow all it wants. Is that asking too much?

3) I'm rediscovering jewerly. I got into a habit of wearing exactly the same stuff over and over and over again for the past several years. Leaving the rest to sit in my jewelry box. Recently, I decided to start switching it up again. Quite refereshing actually. The downside is now I want more... Heheheh.

  1. Our weather has been so crazy this year, but I have to say I'm enjoying the warm weather.

Funny you should mention jewellery, I've been wearing the same earrings since last year, however, tomorrow after work, I'm going to a jewellery party!!

  2. I'm not to my goal weight yet either, but I am at a place where my running pants are a little too loose but when I try on the next size down I feel like a stuffed sausage!
I've never really been a jewelry person. I usually wear the same thing until either I loose it or it breaks. My step daughter tells me I need to accessorize more...I'd rather have a new pair of running shoes!;)

  7. I'm usually terrible with jewelry and then once in awhile I'll get really into one or two different pieces haha.

Good for you for making peace with not being at your goal weight yet. Going down a size in running short would be great!

  8. I have given up on weight and worrying about body fat, with the more training i get in, the more muscles are developed, this is just my opinion

  9. My clothes fit way better but the scale just sits there around the same number. I choose to ignore it and pay attention to my closet.

  10. Maybe your body is just happy where you are weight-wise, but awesome that you are still noticing body changes!

Hope the weather holds out for you... we're expecting some rain here too and I really hope we luck out with DRY conditions for our runs.

  11. i was weighin myself pretty obsessively..and tehn jsut said "to hell with it"...and treat my weight, like my training sans devices...and jsut go on feel.

As for jewelry..I used to wear watches alot....not much of a watch person now..but it's fun to switch it up a bit. Do you have a new fav piece yet?

  13. I would take smaller shorts over actual weight loss any day. Good job on your run yesterday!

  14. Good Work Lisa!
Other than the few pounds I lost in January, my weight has stablized again. I am noticing though that pants and skirts are looser in all areas. I am thinking that my weight training and regularly attending core class are paying off.

  15. The weather has been really weird here too. I was shocked to see the temps in the high 30's yesterday with drizzle all day and then a good rain last night. Yuck!

  17. looser fitting clothes is such a nice feeling. Having a little of that myself. I still wont get on the scale though.

  18. Weight is less meaningful than how your clothes fit and how you feel.

  19. I always go by the clothes meter over the scale. I know how you feel, though, about jumping in and buying smaller sizes right now, but just keep a safety pin handy, just in case... That's awesome progress!
