Coachless Run

Showed up at the meeting spot yesterday to find that the speedy training-for-Boston guy and I were the only ones who showed up. Coach wasn't there, but I really didn't expect that to be a deterrant for the rest of the group. Oh well, their loss!

It started off a little awkward. The Boston guy felt obligated to run with me, but I didn't want to hold him back. I kept telling him that he could go on ahead, but he insisted that we stick together. When it was all said and done, we had gone 4.6 miles. Time actually went by fairly quickly because I had someone new to chat with.

Today is a rest day. Tomorrow I have 10 on the schedule. *Gulp*

  2. That guy seems like a nice guy and it probably didn't suck for him to have someone to run with now that you are getting fast :) I'm sure you will rock the run this weekend. Enjoy.

  7. way to be disciplined when the coach is not around. I have a 2 hour run tomorrow and it is supposed to be a deluge and gusty tomorrow. I can't imagine that long on the 'mill.

One of my "qualifies regularly for Boston" friends uses me when she needs to make sure she runs slow LOL. Bet he enjoyed a nice easy run.

  12. I like people like that too. Sometimes, it gets to be a pain to tell people over and over I WANT to run with you, even though our paces don't match up :-)
