Happiness is...running again

Yesterday I ran for the first time in almost two weeks. It was a very short run and I was slow, but I was happy.

Today I ran again. It was awesome. My Garmin had been off the charger, so I was running 'blind'. I think I went about 5miles and ran for about an hour.

It is awesome to be well enough to run again. Life is good. :)

  2. Welcome back and glad you are feeling better. That can be so frustrating when you are sick, and tired!
I haven't run much lately either - it's bee below zero, or a windchill below zero... arghhhh. But it's warming up tomorrow and I will be out. Funny how the fresh air is so good for us, really!

  6. It's amazing how addictive running can become. It can be so hard to be set back due to illness or injury, but getting back on the road can be one the best feelings in the world!

  8. Five miles is very nice. I feel nekkid without my Garmin. I almost turned back once, but decided not to when it ran out of power...

  11. Hoorah for running! Well done you for getting back out there! I'll be joining in with a bit of that too soon, although I reckon it'll be a good 3-5 weeks before I'm back up to 5 miles! Can't wait to get out there myself - and now i can get dressed more easily , actually get sports kit over my arm, and even manage to tie my laces there should be no excuses!!

PS: Cure for insomnia = suduko - it's either too easy it puts you to sleep or so hard you just stare into those squares!
