Out with the Old, In with the New

October Tally

* 50.5 miles running
* 2000 yds swimming
* 4 gym sessions focussed on upper body, core, and pushup
* 1 race - Duke City HM

Thoughts Looking Back

I felt like I lost control of my workout plans due to a lot of "stuff" in October - stupid knee, doctors appts, tile work, etc. Blah!

Looking Forward

New month, new mindset - I'm regaining control. Primary focus is knee rehab, but I'm also going to be serious about strength work and my general well-being.

Began the day with an early morning trip to the fitness center at work. It was EMPTY so I was Queen of the Gym today. I worked upper body & core, did the PT stuff for my knee, and finished off with a 3 sets of push-ups (12, 8, 5) like a woman on a mission. Ha!

  1. October looks like a good month even in the midst of all the other stuff.

    I know Nov. will have higher numbers though. ;)

    The push-ups just keep getting easier don't they? You are rockin' it!

  12. OK, first of all, you look so freaking hardcore AND adorable in that picture!! The pink tank makes you truly the Queen of the Gym!

    I am so glad you are getting your PT done so you can heal. Wise decision. Plus you are keeping up with strength training. Thank you for the reminder and inspiration. I have got to get back to it.

    You have also inspired me to post my October totals. Let's just say, they will make you feel a lot better. *sigh*

  15. Wow, I've never seem a gym so empty! And I can see the bicep clearly on the arm holding the phone. Nice arms!!

    Good luck with your new November goals. There have been a couple months for me this year where things didn't go the way I'd hoped (bike crash, hammy injury). Good to move on.

  24. You look serious in that photo. Whenever I take a photo in a mirror, the flash mostly obliterates it. I'll have to graduate from film camera to cellphone camera someday.
