Fabulous Friday

I''m pleased to report another fne run by slow&steady standards - 3 miles in just under 32minutes (again, this is inclusive of walk breaks) for an overall average pace of 10:40. I am pleased!

Got a lot of comments wondering about the song that inspired me the other day. The group is Family Force 5, the album is Business Up Front/Party in the back, the song is Supersonic. I certainly wouldn't expect that many (if any) of you have ever heard of this group before. My kids saw them in concert at a retreat in 2006 and came home asking for the album. Normally, music like this would be classified as "noise" in my book, as in I may or may not have been heard to tell them to "turn that noise down". But I must admit that it has turned out to be one of my favorite albums to listen to when I run. Just don't tell my kids. ;)

  3. LOL you sound like such a Mom, Lisa! I'll probably be the same way. Gosh, I can't believe that when my kids get to be teenagers, Notorious BIG will be considered old skool :P

    Great job with the run!

  7. My wife usually tells me that the music I listen to is noise as well. I remember the song "Supersonic" that was done by a female rap group in the 80's/90's. I wonder if it's the same song. Nice run!

  11. Lisa, if you keep up that running pace, you are going to be one fast woman this spring! Great job. And no, I haven't heard of the song, but the lyrics do sound familiar.
