At this point I am resigning myself to the fact that I will be going into the Hot Chocolate 15K under trained. I was hoping to have a chance for a long run over the weekend. . It didn't happen, and it's not going to happen before the race at the end of the month either. I have completed a few runs though, just nothing over the 4-5 mile range. And while I expect to do a lot of walking over the next few weeks, there's no running in my short term future.
What is it that they say? Better under trained than over trained? I sure hope that turns out to be true!
Seems that this Hot Chocalte race is the new race to do, I been asked alot if I was doing the one here in Ohio
ReplyDeleteGood luck.
ReplyDeleteIf anyone can rip out it pb under those circumstances, it's you! Good luck!
ReplyDeleteYou can do this!! I think it might help to have a short walk every mile. This helps to get your breathing back and "stretches" out your legs. Have fun!!
ReplyDeleteBe careful!!!! Give yourself permission to back off or walk if you need to. One race is not worth injuring yourself!
ReplyDeletei do believe that is what 'they' say, and i certainly have done my share of testing that theory haha. good luck!
ReplyDeleteBetter under trained to prevent injures.
ReplyDeleteHave a safe trip today and forgive me for saturday.
