At the moment is is 35 deg. Much warmer than a few days ago, but the wind is howling at 25mph with gusts up to 40mph. Kids are on a 2 hr delay due to icy roads. It is supposed to show/rain/sleet later this afternoon. Bleck!
I stayed inside this morning (no way I'm going out running in that mess) and repeated W4D1 pushups. I just didn't think I could move to D2 quite yet. 63 push-ups later, I'm sure that was a wise decision. I'll try D2 on Thursday...
They are making progress on the backyard, but yesterday they attempted to cover some of the aresa they worked on with tarps. Ha! Their efforts were no match for the gusty wind. The tarps are now in a heap over by the fenceline. They are going to have to try harder if they really want that stuff to stay covered.
I'm not a winter person. I'm ready for it to be over. And the sad part is...it hasn't even officially started yet. Sigh...
I'm not a winter person either! I hate being cold!
ReplyDeleteI am not a winter person either, its flipping cold here too, knock on wood, I dont have those winds.
ReplyDeleteThat's just what I was thinking - 'it hasn't even started yet!'
ReplyDeleteI have a nice reprieve to look forward to with Cuba then Disney, but after that it's a long haul til Spring. Sad.
And THAT is why I moved to Florida! Stay warm!
ReplyDeleteAgreed! Can it be May yet?
ReplyDeleteI used to love the winter time! Now that I am getting into running, it is really cramping my style!!! I am not a fan anymore!
ReplyDeleteHA! It's not even "winter" yet. It was 29 degrees this morning here.
ReplyDeletelove winter! embrace it. i can't stand the summer heat.
ReplyDeleteI am in search of perpetual spring, without the California influence ;-)
ReplyDeleteI'm done with winter too...it's going to be frigid at the start line of my race this weekend. I might cry!
ReplyDeleteWe are to get the ice and more snow tonight and tomorrow. The kids are praying to no school!
ReplyDeleteMe, not so much.
we're supposed to get walloped with snow overnight :( I want to live somewhere where I can open water swim and ride and run all year long, outside.
ReplyDeleteI am with ya on winter! I hate it. As I type this we are getting snow.
ReplyDeleteI can't really comment on this since we don't have "winter" in FL. And truth be told, this is my favorite time of year weather-wise here. My complaining comes in July and August.
ReplyDeleteAsk anyone in blogland and they know I H.A.T.E winter and we haven't even started yet, which is very surprising for Ottawa. Usually by now I'm snowed under and frozen to the ground.
ReplyDeleteLike Mel, we are suppose to get hit with a big dump of winter tomorrow (MEL, Keep it in Toronto, please!)
You are rockin' that push up thing. I am still sadly not back on the wagon. Which is not to say that I haven't been training EVERY day.
ReplyDeleteWe got the cold here too...I'm off for an easy, EASY run soon.
Fortunately for me, I hate the heat & humidity of summer more than this - I can bundle up for this!
ReplyDeleteNow if I can only run in this...
i simply can't believe it's already winter, crazy! it just hit here in kansas this week. it makes me kind of happy to be on running hiatus ;)
ReplyDeleteSo, when it's -30 degrees here in January/February, I can come stay with you? LOL. It was -7 this morning and the kiddos didn't get to go out for recess which we all know is hard on the kids and the teachers!
ReplyDeleteUghhh! I hate winter so much!!! Why do we not all move to Florida?
ReplyDeleteI don't mind the cold, but I am so not a fan of freezing rain and ice.
ReplyDeleteGreat job on the pushups. I've only made it to W2D1 at this point.
MCM Mama
I really need to get on this pushup business. Thanks for the reminder.
ReplyDeleteI'm also working on my pushups. This morning we did pushups that rotated into a side plank, sortof fun. And it's snowy here, first official blizzard, an actual blizzard! :-)
ReplyDeletei am already ready for winter to be over too! :) why can't spring and fall just be longer...
ReplyDeleteCall me crazy but I don't mind the cold...gearing up for sub-zero tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteRight there w/ya!
ReplyDeleteI hear you about winter. In fact every year I job search in warmer climates... sigh.
ReplyDeleteStay warm Lisa!!!
ReplyDeleteIt's oddly cold here, too.
ReplyDeleteThink warm thoughts!
