Just signed up for an event in June

a metric Century (with Husband)

Looking at the calendar

It's only 3.5 short weeks away.

Sounds fun, but ummm.

My longest ride EVER was 48miles.

That was after riding several times a week month on month.

This season is different.

I really just started riding again a few weeks ago.

Oh yeah, and one more thing.

I'll be out of town Memorial Day week.

Makes me wonder; maybe YOU have some idea??

Just what exactly *WAS* I thinking when I hit that "Enter" key??

  1. Okay I'll give it a shot.

    You were thinking:

I'm not entirely sure I can do this but I want to try because I really think I CAN do it even though it may (will) hurt and challenge me A LOT. Did I mention it will probably hurt. A LOT. I may cry (a lot).

But I'm going to feel like a million bucks at the end! Oh yeah I ROCK.

Congrats on signing up! Hope the weather is good and the ride is a lot of fun! :-)

  2. You are asking me that question? LOL

I agree with Stef above! You rock and you can do it!! And you will have some great new tunes to ride to!

  3. Ha, ha! Very funny, Stef :-)

    Crazy is a crazy does

That's what you were thinking. Damn the torpedos! Full speed ahead!! You go have fun!

  4. You weren't. You're crazy like the rest of us :P LOL JK! Knowing you, you'll rock out AND find 100 different positives during the whole experience :-)

  5. Carpe Diem!!

Like Marcy said, I know you will find a way to enjoy this awesome experience no matter what happens!

  6. You'll be fine. You made it past the hardest part (deciding to sign up) I assume its not really a race, so just go out there and enjoy yourself. Youll be fine

  7. heres what you were thinking..
"my conviction to do this is so great, that I will hit the enter key without even thinking of dare, I,.. hitting the delete key.

I know its a leap (this is still me, lisa thinking, haha)but I have trained and I will train even more and I will do this....
it will be great to do with the hubby.
    Now darnit!!!! go for it

  8. You were thinking "Holy Hannah, what have I done?" but you were thinking it just a tad too late? Or maybe you were thinking you needed an adrenalin rush to get you going? Or definitely you were thinking what Stef said! I'm thinking you'll have a blast! Three and a half weeks is loads of time. Yeah. How's your right leg doing?

  9. Crazy is as Crazy does,
    you'll be fine....

loads of time, now quit blogging and get out there!!

  10. Ummm.. because ... it's called ...

You will so rock this! I know it!

  11. You will love it. There is no doubt you;ll ddo it.

  12. Maybe it was HOPE ... because you are full of LIFE!
    Best wishes!

  13. That's how I feel about signing up to ride a 50k in 3 weeks. It might be my first time on a bike in a year!

  14. I am wondering which ride? YOu will do fine. Just go slow like me!

  15. I signed up for a 5K a week and a half after we get back from a 2 week trip...thinking that would force me to jump back into things...I am having "enter" key regrets at the moment too!
Regardless I know we will both have fun!
    Take Care

  16. You will do great! You will surprise yourself, I just know it. You already have a base from last year and your running base helps a lot too. Good luck! Sounds fun and a great way to get your bike training off to a good start.

  17. You were thinking DREAM BIG, BABY!(how hilly is this ride, btw?)

  18. You were thinking how cool it would be to be able to say you did that. You'll figure out how! Good luck. You can do it.
